Dies Suddenly In Va., Rector Reports

COOPERSTOWN – John Cannon, organist and choirmaster at Christ Episcopal Church, passed away suddenly on Friday in Virginia, Father Dane Boston, the rector, advised parishioners in an e-mail.

“John was in Virginia spending time with his beloved brother, Brevy, and acquiring some new pipes to enrich and enhance the organ of Christ Church,” wrote Father Boston. “… Please hold the entire Cannon family in your thoughts and prayers.”

Arrangements will be forthcoming.
