CV Supervisor Vows

To Save Pollinators

Philip Durkin, co-president, Route 20 Scenic Byway Association presented Cherry Valley Supervisor Tom Garretson a decorative Scenic Byway road sign as a partner in the Association’s Pollinators’ Project, which is working with NYSDOT to alter their mowing schedules to extend the season of pollinators’ (e.g. bees and monarch butterflies) habitat. The Association is also planting plots of milkweed and goldenrod in a variety of areas along the Scenic Byway to
support the proliferation of the pollinators.
