IN MEMORIAM:  Edward Kelly, 77;

OHS Graduate Worked At Amphenol

SIDNEY – Edward William Kelly, 77, who was raised in Oneonta and worked at Amphenol for 38 years, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.

He was born in Albany on March 5, 1941, and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Oneonta and Oneonta Senior High School. He also studied at Devry Tech.

Ed worked at Audio Sears, Astrocom, and was an electrician at Keith Clark, Taeco and Simonds Precision, before joining Amphenol at a machinist.  Additionally, he owned and operated Kelly Machine. He loved his family and friends, cars and talking politics.

Ed is survived by: his wife, Nettie (Finch) Kelly; son, Harry Kelly and Lori Cunningham and grandson, Kyle; daughter, Alice and Richard Enck and grandson, Shaun Kelly and granddaughter, Ashley Ohalloran; son, William Edward Kelly, Jr.; granddaughter, Jamie Cunningham; great-grandchildren Kelsey, Jacob and Aiden and Christopher Robins; his brother, Frank Hull and Rose Meyers, his in-laws, Margaret and Ronald Cammer, Katherine Bell, Dorothy Daniels, Carol and Gary Gregory, Jeanette and Art Cash, Agnes Carson and LaVerne and Grace Finch; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Smith-Kelly; father, George Kelly, and his aunt, Evelyn Beckley.

Funeral services were Friday at the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel in Sidney.  Burial will be in Oneonta Plains Cemetery. Share condolences with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
