Jane L. Borachok, 76;

Fox Auxiliary President

ONEONTA – Jane L. Borachok, 76, a Fox Hospital volunteer and past auxiliary president, passed away at her home Friday, March 22, 2019.
She was born August 25, 1942, in New Rochelle, the daughter of the late Elliot and Lillian (Fien) Henderson. Jane married her husband of 51 years, Michael Borachok, on March 3, 1968.


Jane worked as a teacher aide in Vassar Road Elementary School in Poughkeepsie for many years. She also worked as an exercise instructor coordinating the fitness program at the YMCA in Poughkeepsie.
Jane was a volunteer and a past president of the Fox Hospital Auxiliary where she spent many hours volunteering throughout the hospital. Jane’s faith and religious beliefs were very important to her. She would often hold Bible study groups in her home sharing her faith and knowledge with others.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Borachok of Oneonta. Her daughter Heather Borachok and her husband Larry Brockway of Lake Placid; her daughter Jill Eichler and her husband Steve of Franklin; her four loving grandchildren, Michaela, Miranda, Alexis, and Devin.
Calling hours were noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in the First United Presbyterian Church 381 Main St. A funeral Service was held immediately following at the church with Rev. Judith A. Thistle, Fox Hospital chaplain, officiating.
Burial and Committal Services will be held in the spring in Milford Center Cemetery, Milford Center.
Memorial Contribution may be made in memory of Jane to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care.
