IN MEMORIAM: Jane L. Wadkins, 96;

To Be Buried With Husband At Arlington

CHERRY VALLEY – Jane L. Wadkins, 96, of Cherry Valley, who will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, died peacefully in her home on Jan. 13, 2019.

She was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Phenix City, Ala., to Daniel and Lucile Chappell.

Jane is survived by her daughter Linda Buzzutto, sons Patrick Wadkins and James Wadkins. nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Jane and her husband Owen “Pete” Wadkins, a World War II veteran, who served in the Army from 1941-61, will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., sometime in the spring.

He died at ages 92 in 2014.
