Katz Says Delgado Interested In

‘Bettering Our Lives,’ Not Donors’

COOPERSTOWN – Former Cooperstown mayor Jeff Katz today endorsed Antonio Delgado for Congress in New York’s 19th District, the Delgado campaign announced.

Delgado is facing incumbent Republican John Faso, R-Kinderhook, and former “Law & Order: SVU” star Diane Neal, an independent, in the Nov. 6 election.

“I am proud to endorse Antonio Delgado,” said Katz. “He is clearly interested in bettering our lives, not the lives of corporate donors. Time after time, I am taken by Delgado’s knowledge of what is required to improve life in NY-19, and his enthusiasm and charisma. We often use ‘accountability,’ ‘integrity’ and ‘honesty’ as political buzzwords. It’s nice when someone actually exudes those qualities. Antonio Delgado does.”

“I am very grateful for the endorsement of Jeff Katz,” said Delgado. “Jeff served for six years as the mayor of Cooperstown and seven years as a village trustee. He understands the importance of a commitment to public service and desire to give back to the community. I appreciate his support and look forward to working together on issues like universal, quality affordable healthcare, creating job opportunities and improving public education to create a better future for the people of NY-19.”
