Main Street Packed

With Cheering Fans

The Parade of Legends is becoming a high point of Induction Weekend, and lived up to its growing reputation this evening as two dozen Hall of Famers and the five men who will be inducted tomorrow rode down Main Street, Cooperstown, through throngs of cheering fans to a VIP reception at the Baseball Hall of Fame.  In top photo, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, accompanied by wife Maribel Rivera, waves the Puerto Rican single-star flag, and flag-carrying fans wave back from the sidewalks.  In the second row are, left, Bud Selig and wife Suzanne, and right, John Schuerholz and wife Karen.  Bottom row, left, are Jeff Bagwell and wife Rachel, and right, his wife Shannon, and their twin daughters Ava and Amelia.  The five inductees will received their plaques Sunday; the ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Clark Sports Center fields.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
