O-State Wins Mayor’s Cup

For Third Year In A Row

O-State’s Witman Hernandez heads the ball towards the goal as Manhattanville’s goalie Tim Carsting and defenders Kheenan Choapi and Michael Jean-Charles watch him. The Red Dragons won the match 2-1 and took home their third consecutive Mayor’s Cup victory.  The 41st annual event, sponsored by Otsego County and the Dewar Foundation, ran from Friday through this afternoon.  Hernandez was an all-tournament selection as well.  The SUNY Oneonta women also won the tournament; they tied in the final match, but their tourney-long goal differential put them over the top.  (Cheryl Clough/AllOTSEGO.com)
