ONEONTA – OWL, the Oneonta World of Learning, will take up a permanent nest in the house at Fortin Park.

The Town of Oneonta has given OWL use of the house, starting in late August, for their play space, as well as use of the playgrounds, fields and pavilions.  With this arrangement, OWL will also be able to add outdoor activities to its offerings, which include PaintFest, Dig Dirt Day and the Ice Cream Social.

In January 2014, OWL opened a temporary play space at 277 Main Street, Oneonta, as a “proof of concept” to test the response of area parents. The space was originally meant to be open for three months, but has now been open for more than two years.  The Main Street location will close April 16, and the new location is anticipated to open in late August.
