SENSE OF THE MEETING:

RESOLVE FIRE CONTRACT

At a packed and fiery meeting at Oneonta’s Elm Park Methodist Church last evening, townsfolk pleaded and demanded that the Town of Oneonta Board of Fire Commissioners reach an agreement with City Hall and assure professional firefighting protection for the town into the future. It appeared unclear if the commissioners are will to do that. And so much more in Hometown Oneonta & The Freeman’s Journal: Why did Focus fail? What’s going to happen to Otego Elementary? How quickly can the D&H yards development plans be fast-tracked? Both newspapers are on newsstands in Oneonta, Cooperstown and stops in between this afternoon.
