Wayne L. Roseboom, 83, of Oneonta passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the Cooperstown Center. Wayne was born on August 28, 1938 in the Town of Butternuts; a son of the late Leon M. and Marion E. (Emerson) Roseboom.
Wayne was a well-liked custodian for many of Oneonta’s businesses and was last employed by the Black Oak Tavern.
Wayne’s family will have a service in the future at a date to be determined.

If you haven’t been to Roots Brewing Company in Oneonta, you need to go. It is one of my favorite places to relax and have a drink.
The staff is so nice and attentive. They have a wonderful variety of beers, and cocktails as well as some tasty bites to eat.

Draping the Pews Quilt Show
Sometimes, I just want to slow down and focus on the little things. For me that means knitting or reading or playing computer games.
A craft I’ve been considering adding to the list is quilting. It is a beautiful pastime with a huge amount of applications, including the classic blanket, purses, wallets, window coverings and so much more.
This past weekend I stopped by the “Draping the Pews” quilt show by the Fly Creek Quilters at the Fly Creek Methodist Church to see what they’d been working on this past year and found myself in a church awash with color.
