SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt
I went to SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt recently while doing errands. There were a variety of flavors of frozen yogurt available for self-serve, including mango and cookies and cream.
I chose to get a mix of cookies and cream and cake batter. Then I added brownie bites, mini MnMs, hot fudge and gummy bears, to cookies, sprinkles and caramel. I literally cannot fit how many options there were into this review. Definitely a place to check out when in Oneonta.

Origins Café provides vegetarian food;
Mt. Fuji has sauce with extra flavor

Mt. Fuji
A nice spot to sit down for dinner, Mt. Fuji is conveniently located on Main Street in Cooperstown and has some of the most delicious food around.
They also provide takeout if that’s more your speed.
I recently had the chicken hibachi dinner there. It comes with a small salad to start.
It’s not so filling you loose your appetite and it cools you down on a hot day.
Then you can start on the main course.
The hibachi itself is served with seasonal vegetables like onions, carrots and squash (as well as fried rice) and it is meant to be dipped in the sauce that comes with it. My chicken was delicious by
itself, but the sauce just adds that extra flavor that cannot be done without.

The Inside Scoop
Walk down Main Street in Cooperstown and turn right at the flagpole and you’ll find this cozy little shop. Inside the same building as Slices Pizzeria, which I reviewed last year, turn right instead of left and you’ll find the perfect spot to order your ice cream and peruse the collection of baseball cards on view as you enter the sitting area.

There are tables inside and out and a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I got the Minty Moose Trail, a soft-serve mint ice cream with large chunks of chocolate and streaks of gooey chocolate fudge. You can even get some hot fudge poured over top of your ice cream if you want (like I did).

Other flavors included raspberry, coffee, chocolate, rocky road, and many more. A great spot just off the
main path in downtown Cooperstown.

Stagecoach Coffee
If you’re walking around downtown Cooperstown and get a bit hungry (or just need a coffee or tea or other beverage), take a left at the flagpole going toward the lake and on your right will be Stagecoach Coffee. They are primarily a coffee shop but they have been steadily expanding their food menu over the years.
I recently stopped by for lunch and decided to try the smoked salmon on a toasted whole wheat bagel with cream cheese (of course), tomato, onion and capers. For a drink I ordered the frozen hot chocolate (made with Ghirardelli chocolate according to the menu). The smoked salmon bagel is a very savory meal, with the capers and onion giving a zest that keeps me coming back for more. A great lunch for a hot day of wandering around our little town.
