Winter Storm Watch:

Slick Roads, Little Snow

Jeremy Velasco, Middlefield, top photo, walks toward his plow at the county Highway Department, Linden Avenue, Cooperstown, after using the backhoe to fill the box from the mountain of salt in the storage building. A winter storm watch is in effect, but only about 1 inch is expected to fall. Nonetheless, roads are slick, as drivers heading south on Route 28 near Dreams Park, inset photo, can attest. Fender-benders included a car sliding into the Cooperstown Commons entry sign, denting the laid stone foundations. (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
