‘Hidden Figures’ Author Fills

Dewar, Inspires Full House

Margot Lee Shetterly, author of the best-selling “Hidden Figures,” which became a movie nominated for three Oscars, told a full house at SUNY Oneonta’s Dewar Arena Monday evening that, raised reading about mammoth figures like Martin Luther King, she wanted to write about characters regular folks could relate to. Exclusive story in this week’s Hometown Oneonta.  In Cooperstown, The Freeman’s Journal reports, the felled downtown flagpole now seems secure for another generation. A Freeman’s Journal exclusive. Both newspapers arrived on local newsstands this afternoon.
