Fran O’Kelly

ONEONTA – Frances “Fran” Marie O’Kelly, 72, of Oneonta, passed away on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, with her family at home in Oneonta.

She was born on June 15, 1946, in Fulton, the daughter of Mark and Celia (Luciano) DeMouro. She married Robert G. O’Kelly, Jr., on Sept. 29, 1973.

Fran was an avid reader, quilter and crafter, she loved flowers and flea markets. Fran enjoyed Pina Coladas, cruises and a good joke. Fran was an incredible sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all.

Fran was employed as a food server for Fox Hospital in Oneonta and held various clerical positions with SYSCO Foods and the USDA. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Oneonta.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Oneonta; a sister, Ann Vescio of Pendleton, Ore.; her son, Patrick Scott O’Kelly (Jamie) of Wellsville; her daughter, Michael K. Bordinger Lutz (Michael) of Davenport; and her son, Robert Mark O’Kelly (Lisa) of Baldwinsville; eight grandchildren, Meghan, Garrett, Anna (Benny), Anthony, Clinton, Cali, Rylee and Kallissa; one great-grandson, Oskar; one great-granddaughter, Reese.

She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Anthony DeMouro.

A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta, New York 13820. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fran’s memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 297 River Street Service Rd, Oneonta, NY 13820.
