Barbara Calabrese

OTEGO – Barbara Calabrese, age 77, of Otego, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 peacefully in her home while being cared for by Clyde, Michael and Jessica Bliss. Barbara was born on September 30, 1944 to Frank and Evelyn Insetta in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Barbara was predeceased by both of her parents and her brother, John Insetta.

She is survived by her longtime companion and best friend of almost 50 years, Clyde Bliss.

She is also survived by 3 children whom she loved as her own, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and even one great-great grandchild, all whom she loved and adored, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara enjoyed many things as long as she was with her family and close friends, especially Bingo, family gatherings and picnics, all which included her other favorite hobby of taking photos. She enjoyed crafting with yarn and always had a creative handmade gift for any occasion. She loved the N.Y. Yankees, talking about meeting Derek Jeter with her grandson.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a Celebration of Life will be held.
