It was a frigid morning in Oneonta with blustery winds making it feel like 0º, but that didn’t keep 713 runners and walkers from turning out to run the annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K for Hospice! Runners of the annual Tailgate 5K had a wintery start this morning with wind and flurries filling the air of the 6th ward in Oneonta. Frostbite 5k Returns

Temperatures in the low 40’s provided much more agreeable conditions for the 176 runners who took the the streets this afternoon in the Oneonta YMCA’s annual Frostbite 5k,. The race, originally scheduled on Dec. 31st, was postponed until today due to harsh negative temperatures. Here, Alexander Herold, Jody Taylor, Catie Minogue, David Morell, Heather Ellis, Gary Tooms and John Ellis run along Market St at the start of the race.
