MILFORD – Three people were arrested after a search by the state police allegedly found heroin and cocaine at a home in Milford.

Richard A. Cushnie, 28, and Keith M. Blush, 37, both of Maryland, were arrested along with Kwannasia K. Barnes, 24, Binghamton, after state police executed a search warrant at the Milford home. During the search, police allege that a quantity of heroin and cocaine were found, as well as U.S. currency.

Cushnie was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Class B Felonies, Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony, and as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Pennsylvania for a parole violation for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. Blush was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Class B Felonies and Barnes was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Class B Felonies.

All three were remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility.

  1. These drugs are destroying people from all wallks of life. There must be stiffer penalties for all offenders not just for the people selling this drugs, also for people found using these drugs. I know that our jails are over crowded with what our system considers more serious offenders. Dealers for all intense an propose should be considered murderes . People that use the drugs are a burden on our society. In and out of rehab usually Court ordered, who pays for that?! The rest of the us . I don’t have a solution, I don’t think anyone does, this has been going on since the beginning of time it seems.

  2. Way to go state police !! Take these losers off the streets and away from the community. You guys should work on Cooperstown Main Street next. Town is riddled with drugs !
