Wounded Warriors Outshine

Oneonta Police, Firemen, 32-1

Wounded Warrior Nick Clark, who moved his family to Cooperstown permanently over the winter, slides into third base a moment ahead of the tag by Oneonta firefighter Eric Johnson at Oneonta’s Damaschke Field this afternoon. At right, as the Wounded Warriors began to run away with the game, Oneonta Police officer Ryan Pondolfino carried a Outlaws 40-pound “practice bat” onto the field in hopes of improving his teams odds.  Sunday, the Wounded Warrior will play at 1 p.m. at Cooperstown’s Doubleday Field.  (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
